Project-Wide Asset Replacement - A Powerful New Authoring Gesture
Asset replacement in ZebraZapps has always been a powerful concept, allowing authors to quickly turn interactive sketches into production-ready, quality learning events. However, asset replacement (images, audio, video and gadgets) has been limited in scope to the current event that an author is working on. This month that changes. ZebraZapps authors now have a powerful new asset / project management goodie: project-wide asset replacement. Authors are now able to replace any

Early July 2014 Release - The Custom Font Manager has Arrived!
July’s early release brings to life a big, new design feature: The Font Manager. With the new font manager an author can upload any font file (.otc, .ttf & .ttc) to their account. Once the font file has processed (just a few seconds), the font can be added and used in any project. For authors who are working collaboratively with other ZebraZapps users, transferred projects with uploaded fonts will leave the fonts embedded in the project. However, for copyright purposes the fo

Featured App and Gadget - A Keypad!
Keypads in your e-learning apps can help make a big difference with inputting numbers. A simple keypad in a gadget allows your users/learners to input a decimal point anywhere in their answer. By default, this keypad includes a US dollar sign and rounds to two decimal places. But of course, like all ZebraZapps Gadgets, the specifications are editable by authors. Our Keypad Only Gadget allows an author to import the logic of this keypad and employ it in their own project howev

Discover ZebraZapps - All About User Gestures
User gestures are user movements recognized by ZebraZapps objects. ZebraZapps objects can react directly and/or send messages to other objects so they can react. For example, a button might respond to the mouse pointer being over it, change when the mouse button is clicked, and also make something happen when the button is clicked. ZebraZapps is very powerful in gesture recognition and object manipulation, so it's easy to create simulations and complex interactions. Check out

Discover ZebraZapps - All About Rollovers
All ZebraZapps objects recognize when the pointer is over them, when they've been clicked, dragged, and so on. But sometimes we need to react to individual parts of an object, such as areas of a photo. In such cases, we can just outline areas with the sketch tool and then "cloak" the sketches so they aren't seen, effectively creating an interactive rollover. Check out this app to see an example of how to use rollovers in ZebraZapps. #bestauthoringtool #elearningsoftware #elea
