ZebraZapps Teams Up with ETA Hand2Mind to Help Produce New Digital Classroom Teaching Aids to Meet Common Core State Standards Requirements

Innovative digital manipulatives revealed as a part of ETA Hand2Mind’s new Common Core Fraction Solutions for teachers required to incorporate a stronger focus on fractions into current math curriculum.

Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn. – April 18, 2013– Allen Interactions Inc., an internationally acclaimed custom learning design, development, and strategic consulting firm, announced its authoring product, ZebraZapps has partnered with ETA hand2mind to create groundbreaking learning solutions that improve mathematics education.

The new Common Core State Standards (CCSS) pose a challenge to many teachers who need to develop strategies for creatively teaching the new approaches to learning in a limited amount of time. The new lessons, jointly produced by ZebraZapps and ETA hand2mind, make it easier for educators to teach fractions and also easier for students to learn them.

“There is no set path to the goal, and consequently the need for innovation and collaboration within the education community has never been greater,” states Dennis Tarwood, Technology Product Development Manager, ETA hand2mind. “That’s why we’ve partnered with ZebraZapps to develop these state-of-the-art digital support applications.”

The applications, known as Digital Classroom Lessons for Hands-On Standards, Common Core Fractions, are unique interactive classroom teaching aids that augment the physical manipulatives and comprehensive teacher guides for teaching new fractions standards.

“We have successfully provided learning solutions and tools for the world’s leading business organizations for more than 20 years,” said Scott Colehour, Co-Founder and Solutions Architect at Allen Interactions. “Our Allen Interactions and ZebraZapps team found it both fun and rewarding to work with ETA hand2mind to create meaningful, memorable, and motivational learning material fit for our children and our future.”

The new Common Core Fractions solution from ETA hand2mind will be introduced this week at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics annual meeting in Denver, Colorado. To find out more, please visit
